  • Forget everything you’ve heard…
  • Forget everything you’ve seen…
  • Forget everything you know about hauntings.

Based on a true story as seen on Discovery Channel, Harvesting Shadows is a tale of one family’s survival of the nightmare that found them, the everlasting lingering damage of domestic and child abuse, and the revelation of the hidden workings of the phenomenon that we call “hauntings.”

This book is not an attempt to convince the reader to alter their beliefs about what is real and what is not. It is merely an invitation to witness, to consider, to question what we know (or have been told) about a specific supernatural phenomenon. Some will believe, some will remain skeptical, and this is how it should be. The objective of this story is to deconstruct, or even redefine, our understanding of hauntings from either side of the fence.

Harvesting Shadows also examines how the damage of child abuse and domestic violence echoes through time and space, between generations, scarring the present as well as the past. A portion of the proceeds of the book will be set aside for donation to child abuse prevention.

The story is told in the form of a narrative. Certain elements have been fictionalized to protect the privacy of the survivors and their families, as well as the families of those who lost loved ones during the events depicted. The majority of the book is a dramatization of events reconstructed by research and interviews with the survivors, investigators, and gifted individuals who assisted the family. Harvesting Shadows is due for release in Summer,2015.
